Poudre Park evacuation lifted

Fire officials have notified 164 residents of Poudre Park east along Colorado Highway 14 to Gateway Park that they may return to their homes, effective noon Thursday. This evacuation lift does not include Unger Mountain Road, Falls Gulch Road and King’s Canyon Road (Boyd Gulch Road), which were among the first areas evacuated when the High Park Fire broke out on June 9. Firefighters and equipment remain in the area.

Residents will need to obtain credentials at the checkpoint on Highway 14 and County Rd 29C or at The Ranch, I-25 and Crossroads Boulevard in Loveland, by showing proper identification in order to access the area.
