The Fort Collins Stars will hold tryouts Aug. 7 for their 2011-2012 competitive fast-pitch softball teams.
All players are welcome and encouraged to attend the tryouts, which are held at Spring Canyon Park, 2626 W. Horsetooth Road. There is no charge to players. Players should bring softball equipment and water to the tryouts.
Tryouts are 9 a.m. to noon for the highly competitive 16UB-level team. Players may try out for all positions.
From 1 to 4 p.m., tryouts are set for the 14UA- and 14UB-level highly competitive teams. The 14UA team is looking for one pitcher and one catcher along with other fielding positions.
The Stars plan to fill three 14UB teams. They are looking for players for all positions.
Tryouts for the Fort Collins Stars modified level teams will be held in late March, 2012.
