Larimer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a hold-up alarm on March 15 at approximately 12:30 a.m. at the Kum & Go convenience store located at 8150 Sixth St. in Wellington. The alarm was triggered when a single male displaying a handgun demanded money from the clerk.
The suspect is described as dark skinned white or Hispanic male, just under 6-feet tall with a slender build. He was wearing a grey zippered sweatshirt. The suspect left the area possibly in a white sedan in an unknown direction before deputies arrived on scene.
There were no injuries reported during this incident. The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate this crime; no additional details are available at this time.
It is unknown at this time if this incident is related to any of the other recent armed robberies under investigation by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
