funkwerks, a brewery offering Belgian-style saison beers made with all-organic ingredients, has opened in the old Fort Collins Brewery location (1900 East Lincoln Avenue). Saison-style beers are usually light to medium-bodied, highly carbonated and typically filled with pleasant notes of citrus and summery flavors. funkwerks is currently bottling two beers, their signature saison and a white ale. The taproom also offers tastings of the brewery’s “tester” beers that they are thinking about putting into production. This is a wonderful addition to the strong brewing community in Fort Collins.
