Renowned local pianist, songwriter and teacher Patricia Burge will perform Saturday, May 25, at 7:30 in a benefit concert for the Red Feather Lakes Community Library. She will be joined by musical cohorts Mary Rudy (pianist) and Ben Koch (cellist) in a presentation “For the Beauty of the Earth.” The setting will be accompanied by the beautiful vistas of mountain ranges, pines and rocks visible from Morning Star Church in Red Feather Lakes.
There will be no cover charge for the event, but donations will be encouraged to support the Friends of the Libray. “At the last concert we raised over $1,000,” notes Susie Trabant, President of the volunteer organization. A reception will follow the concert.
Burge’s last concert featured her “Songs of the Earth,” which is also the title of her 1991 CD release and features the sounds of nature’s more beautiful and threatened animals.
