The Agassiz Duo will present works for flute and clarinet by Bozza, Jolivet, Muczynski and more on Saturday, June 8 at 2 p.m. at the Abbey of St. Walburga in Virginia Dale.
The duo is affiliated with Astraios, a network of chamber musicians who present concerts as high-caliber performances in an informal manner with a basic premise that the audience is part of the performance. Astraios, named from the father of four winds in Greek mythology, was founded in 2007 and has presented concerts in Colorado, Texas, Wyoming and Virginia.
The Abbey of St. Walburga is located off of US Highway 287, north of Fort Collins and about 5 miles south of the Wyoming border. As you approach mile marker 381, watch for a green CDOT sign pointing to the Abbey on the west side of the road. The main monastery building is set about a mile back from the highway and the official address is 1029 Benedictine Way in Virginia Dale.
This concert is free, but reservations are strongly suggested by calling 469-744-4825 or e-mailing [email protected].
