The City of Fort Collins will host an oil and gas informational meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 8 in the Columbine Room at the Lincoln Center, 417 W. Magnolia Street.
The meeting will begin with an informal open house. Residents will have the opportunity to talk with individual City staff about specific issues regarding oil and gas operations in the City of Fort Collins.
A formal presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. City staff will provide information on oil and gas operations, the proposed Land Use Code regulations for such operations, and the proposed operator agreement with Prospect Energy.
The City is in the process of reviewing and updating its land use regulations concerning oil and gas exploration and developing options for mitigating impacts upon the community within the City’s Growth Management Area.
