Do you enjoy the outdoors? Are you looking for a way to enrich to your community? Consider volunteering with the Fort Collins Natural Areas Department.
Meet new friends while taking a virtual tour of the many natural areas in and around Fort Collins during an open house noon to 1 p.m.on Feb. 13. Participants will learn about the Natural Areas Department and ways to get involved. Seasoned volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and share experiences. Opportunities include Adopt-a-Natural Area, Volunteer Ranger Assistants, Master Naturalists, field projects and more. Free snacks and maps of Fort Collins Natural Areas will be provided.
The Natural Areas Department could not function without the hundreds of volunteers that donate thousands of hours to help conserve fragile ecosystems, protect wildlife habitat and educate fellow citizens. As a volunteer, you will be part of a community that shares your passion for the outdoors and environmental conservation. Volunteers are valued and recognized through annual appreciation events and continuing education opportunities.
Reservations are required by contacting Susan Schafer, 970-416-2480, [email protected]. Location of the open house will be sent with RSVP.
