The Literacy Matters book drive that began Monday, Dec. 19, will continue through Jan. 16, in honor of the Martin Luther King Jr. day of service.
Donations of gently used or new books for children of all ages will support such organizations as Boys and Girls Clubs and Community Building Partnership for Youth in Transition throughout the state.
Collection boxes are set up in Fort Collins at Old Firehouse Books, 232 Walnut St., and the United Way of Larimer County building at 424 Pine St.
The Literacy Matters book drive is sponsored by AmeriCorps Colorado, AARP Colorado and Serve Colorado — Governor’s Commission on Community Service.
For more information and a complete list of service projects receiving books from the drive, contact Jenna Hansen at Serve Colorado, 303-866-6220, or [email protected].
