Wendy DuBord, executive director of Wellington’s Main Street program, announced that Colorado State University is offering a free energy assessment for the first six Wellington businesses who express an interest in having an assessment done. Both agricultural and commercial businesses are eligible. The assessment takes about 30 minutes and will provide recommendations for improving energy efficiency. Those who participate will receive written assessments and may be eligible for grants and rebates to pay for recommended changes.
