Faith Swanbom attended the staff meeting on May 28 at Rice Elementary School. For her, it was bittersweet because it was her last. She was surprised when Principal Karen Koehn presented her with a book of memories compiled by many of those who have known her through the years that she spent at Cache La Poudre Elementary teaching third, fourth and sixth grade and her three years at Rice, where she taught fourth grade and kindergarten.
What’s next for her? She quickly answered: “I’m going to volunteer at Kinard Middle School and work with special education students.”
Swanbom lives with her husband, Jon, in LaPorte. They have a daughter who recently graduated from college and works in health care, and a son who is currently in college.
