Winter Bike to Work Day is upon us. With mild winter temperatures and sunny weather, the eighth annual event, scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 7-9:30 a.m., is sure to be well attended. With more than 60 businesses collaborating to host 25 breakfast stations, bicyclists will find free breakfast, hot coffee, friendly faces and fun all along their morning commute. Bicycle mechanics will be available at several stations to make minor adjustments and fixes on participants’ bikes as well. This year, FC Bikes expects more than 800 people to participate in the event. Visit fcgov.com/bikewinter for an online and PDF version of the breakfast station map, list of station hosts and stations with mechanics.
Once the event has concluded, a survey will be distributed online to collect valuable data regarding the event. Participants who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing and eligible to win one of more than 40 prizes donated by local businesses.
The survey will be open from Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 7 a.m. to Friday, Dec. 12, at 5 p.m. at fcgov.com/bikewinter. Print copies will be available at the FC Bikes office located at 281 N. College Ave.
