Illuminate your holiday spirit at Gardens on Spring Creek's Garden of Lights starting Nov. 30

The Gardens on Spring Creek, 2145 Centre Avenue, is transformed into a glittering Garden of Lights on Nov. 30 through Dec. 31 from 5 to 9 p.m. Illuminate your holiday spirit by strolling through the whimsically decorated Gardens lit by tens of thousands of twinkling LED lights. Each strand was hand-placed by volunteers and staff to create sparkling scenes that celebrate the magic of our community’s botanical garden and the holiday season. A $2 per person donation is suggested.

Gifts from the Gardens, a holiday gift and plant sale, will help kick off the festivities of opening weekend. The special sale is Nov. 30, 5 to 8 p.m., and Dec. 1, noon to 8 p.m. Featured artisans include Loki Artworks, Art by Corynne Hilbert, Busy Bee Candleworks, Culinary Adventures, White Buffalo Kitchen Syrups, Kyle’s Handmade Pottery, MouCo Cheese Company, BellaBella Naturals and Glass By Fox. Also, poinsettias, amaryllis, Christmas cactus, succulents, and rosemary topiaries grown in The Gardens’ greenhouse will be for sale.

Weekends during Garden of Lights will offer visits with Santa, a variety of holiday entertainment from local carolers and musicians, tricks from the Sugar Plum Furries (canine fairies), cookie decorating for the kids, and the opportunity to enjoy the simple pleasures of the holidays. Hot mulled cider will be offered during the weekends. The Cupcake Cruiser will also be on site Fridays & Saturdays to tempt your sweet tooth with cupcakes available for purchase.

Friday, Nov. 30: 5–7 p.m.: Flip the Switch! Mayor Karen Weitkunat, City Manager Darin Atteberry, along with fellow Council members, and representatives from The Gardens and community partner Food Bank for Larimer County, will flip the switch on Garden of Lights at 5 p.m. Foothills Madrigal Singers will entertain with holiday carols. Shop at Gifts from the Gardens, the annual plant and gift sale—open until 8 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 1, 6–8 p.m.: Visit with Santa and enjoy the Sugar Plum Furries (canine fairies performing tricks). Shop at Gifts from the Gardens, the annual plant and gift sale—open until 8 p.m. Rocky Mountain High School Choir will entertain.

Sunday, Dec. 2 & 9: 6–8 p.m.: Visits with Santa, and families can enjoy gingerbread cookie decorating in the classroom.

Friday, Dec. 7, 6–8 p.m.: The Sunny Side Singers perform holiday favorites.

Saturday, Dec. 8: 6–8 p.m.: Visit with Santa and enjoy the Sugar Plum Furries (canine fairies performing tricks). Fort Collins High School Choir and Northern Colorado Cloggers entertain.

Friday, Dec. 14: 6–8 p.m.: The Liberty Common School choir will carol throughout The Gardens.

Saturday, Dec. 15: 6-8 p.m.: Visit with Santa and enjoy the Sugar Plum Furries (canine fairies performing tricks). Cello Noel with Katherine Azari will perform holiday favorites in the classroom.

Sunday, Dec.16: 6-8 p.m.: Last chance to visit with Santa before he heads back to the North Pole! Cookie decorating for the family indoors, while Saja Butler will perform holiday carols for the young and young at heart outdoors.

Friday, Dec. 21: 6-8 p.m.: Stretto String Quartet will entertain visitors to beautiful classical renditions of holiday favorites in the classroom.

Saturday, Dec. 22 6-8 pm: Last chance to visit with the Sugar Plum Furries (canine fairies performing tricks).
