It starts with the outro. “Get Up,” is catchy with its admonishment to get off the couch and be part of something bigger than ourselves. “Joe’z Hustlerz,” set to old Ghostbusters song, is fun. You’ll hear a lot of riffs and clips from movies and old-school artists, like Michael Jackson and James Brown. Turn This Up is groovy and thought provoking, with a hint of underlying 70’s and 80’s throughout. “My Father The Son” is smooth and jazzy. “Red Hot Sweater” is a hot bootie-shaking instrumental. “There’s No Stopping Me” is self explanatory. With 18 tracks, Joey T covers a lot of ground on this album, from personal independence, to fighting for what’s right; love, drugs, sex, rap, God…you name it. Overall, it’s a good package and a valiant effort – absolutely perfect to put on at your next party. – Emily Clingman
