Journalist and author John Nichols will be the keynote speaker at the Larimer County Democrats 2012 Annual Dinner & Silent Auction on Saturday, March 31 at the Fort Collins Marriott.
Nichols is the political correspondent for The Nation magazine and associate editor of The Capital Times newspaper. He is the author or co-author of ten books, including a best-selling biography of former Vice President Dick Cheney, histories of American opposition to empire and the movements to hold presidents to account, and a series of books on media and democracy. Nichols’ most recent book “Uprising: How Wisconsin Renewed The Politics Of Protest, From Madison To Wall Street” will be available for purchase and signing at the dinner.
“Our Annual Dinner is one of our biggest events of the year. We celebrate our volunteers and successes from the past year, and I am looking forward to an inspiring message from John Nichols,” said William Russell, Larimer County Democrats Chairman.
The Larimer County Democrats 2012 Annual Dinner & Silent Auction will be held at the Fort Collins Marriott, 350 East Horsetooth, Fort Collins. The Silent Auction Century Club reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75 each until March 17. After March 17, the price is $85.
