Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a LaPorte man Wednesday Dec. 28 on numerous charges, including sexual assault and felony menacing. Officers were called to the 3500 block of Rifle Court in LaPorte on the report of a physical disturbance and ascertained that Robert Davis had threatened a 48-year-old female with a gun and had sexually assaulted her.
The suspect fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival, but was subsequently contacted a short distance away after he had crashed his vehicle into a parked car.
Davis was charged with sexual assault, felony menacing, prohibited use of a weapon, 3rd degree assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of prescription drugs, reckless driving and domestic violence.
The victim was taken to Medical Center of the Rockies with minor injuries and was later released.
Davis was booked into the Larimer County Jail and is being held pending a bond hearing scheduled for Dec. 29.
