My family and I wanted to express our thanks and gratitude to the Wellington Fire Protection District for their incredible Fire Prevention Open House on Oct. 11.
What an engaging and exciting event for me, my wife and our two boys, Isaac and Evan. Wow!
The highlight for our boys was getting dressed up as firemen and using a fire hose to put out a “fire.”
They also loved getting to see their heart rate and loved going into the fire trucks and the State Patrol vehicle. My wife and I were grateful for the emphasis on fire safety and empowering our boys to call 911 in case of emergency. Also, they stressed that our boys should know their own address.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thank you again to the Wellington Fire Protection District team. It is an event we won’t forget!
