The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating 2-year-old girl Vanecia “Feather” Gonzales, who was reported missing Aug. 8.
Feather’s mother, Vanessa Gonzales, was granted supervised visits in February. Temporary custody of Feather had been awarded to another family member who could provide a safe environment.

On Aug. 5, Vanessa is believed to have taken Feather from the northwest Fort Collins home in which she was placed. Family members and authorities are worried for the child’s safety.
The sheriff’s office believes that Vanessa may still be in the area, possibly staying in a hotel or in an RV with an unknown male.
Anyone with information concerning Feather’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office at 970-416-1985.
