The Board of Larimer County Commissioners approved 15-year County Construction Manager Todd Juergens as the new Road and Bridge Director for the county.
Juergens, who has been involved in the public works construction industry in Larimer County since 1989, is looking forward to the new position.
Juergens is currently finishing up work overseeing the reconstruction and reopening of County Road 27, the road through the Lower Buckhorn Canyon. This project is one of many flood recovery projects Juergens played a key role in, including the construction of temporary post-flood roads on County Road 44H (upper Buckhorn), County Road 43 (Drake to Glen Haven), and County Road 63 (Fish Creek Road in Estes Park). Juergens will take the helm as R&B director on Nov. 27 at a salary of $109,477 per year.
An extensive recruitment process for the R&B director was conducted. Finalists were interviewed earlier this month. Juergens replaces long-time R&B Director Dale Miller.
