Larimer County's next Roadmap to Recovery to address social and emotional aspects of High Park Fire's one-year anniversary

Larimer County’s seventh Roadmap to Recovery meeting for High Park and Woodland Heights Fire survivors will cover topics including legal issues, expiration of ALE benefits and the social and emotional aspects of the fire’s one-year anniversary.

Speakers are Karen Reimus, disaster recovery aid for United Policyholders, and Tom Henderson, Colorado-licensed policyholder attorney. Henderson will address the “Suit Against Us Clause,” a very important one-year anniversary legal issue. He was a guest speaker for the second Roadmap to Recovery meeting last August that covered underinsurance.

The meeting takes place April 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the 1st Floor Hearing Room at the Larimer County Courthouse Offices Building, 200 West Oak Street in Fort Collins.

Roadmap to Recovery sessions are organized and facilitated by United Policyholders, a nonprofit consumer organization assisting disaster survivors for over 20 years.

Breakout sessions will provide an opportunity to network with other fire survivors.

Portions of this meeting will be videotaped and made available at Larimer County’s High Park and Woodland Heights Fire website after the meeting at larimer.org/highparkfire/. Videos of the previous six Roadmap to Recovery meetings are online as well. Additional recovery information is available on the website, including a free subscription sign-up for High Park and Woodland Heights Fire information updates and a place to list upcoming events.
