It’s spring and with the warm weather comes the danger of severe weather. Weather spotters are regularly used by the National Weather Service to help them provide timely warnings to the public when severe weather strikes. You can become a weather spotter by attending the Weather Spotter Training Class presented by the National Weather Service.

This training is free and open to the public on April 15 at 9 a.m. in the Rialto Theater, 228 E 4th Street in Loveland.

Attendees will learn about different types of tornados and thunderstorms, how to spot and report severe weather and how to stay safe in the event of tornados, floods and lightning.

No reservation needed.
