It’s so busy here at the library…and that’s just the way we like it!
If your kids haven’t signed up for the summer reading reading program it’s not too late. Please come in, register and pick up a reading log. We also have early-locker choice book report forms for anyone heading into Wellington Middle School. Remember Wellington Middle schoolers to get your early-locker choice book reports in to the library by Aug. 10. Failure to do so may result in you getting the locker right by the boy’s locker room. I speak from experience. It was a long and smelly school year.

For the adults who want to prove they still got it — the ability to read that is — we are doing bingo with prizes. Come get your bingo card and play along.
The Wellington Summer Reading Program ends Aug. 12. Our Summer Reading Programs are always a success and as our town grows so does our program. We are very grateful to have businesses who donate and make our prizes possible. Thank you Domino’s Pizza, Ridley’s Supermarket, Pizza Palace, Fort Fun, Rollerland, Culver’s Restaurant, Chipper’s Lanes, McDonald’s, Fort Collins Recreation, and, of course, the Town of Wellington and the Wellington Library Friends. We also want to thank Wellington Middle School for allowing us to do the early-locker choice program.
And while we’re thanking people, we’d like to recognize some amazing people who bring their daycare kids to the library. Katie, Amber, and Ruth and also the great staff of Creative Kids Corner. It’s nice to know you value reading and are instilling a love of reading in your young charges.
The Wellington Public Library Book Club is reading “Me Before You,” by Jojo Moyes. They will meet on August 18 at 7 p.m. to discuss this book. August storytimes are the 9th and the 23rd at 11 a.m. Please drop in with your preschooler and enjoy some great stories and a fun craft.
Did your garage fill back up after the first town wide garage sale? Well, lucky for you we are having another townwide garage sale on Aug. 6, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Along with bargains galore that day, a Crafts and Arts Fair will be held on the lawn in front of the library. If you would like to sign up for either of these events please call 970-568-3040 or stop by the library. See you at the library!
