Beet Street will be holding live auditions for the upcoming summer season of Streetmosphere on Sunday, Feb. 12, from 1 to 5 p.m. in the atrium of the Opera Galleria, 123 N. College Ave. in Fort Collins.
Streetmosphere showcases artists, performers, and entertainers on the streets of downtown Fort Collins each Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 11 through Sept. 3. Streetmosphere’s musicians, jugglers, magicians, actors, comedians, dancers, storytellers, painters, and more will also be performing along the street corners and public plazas in Front Range Village on Harmony Road on weekends from July 6 through Aug. 26.
The public is invited – encouraged, actually – to stop by and watch the auditions.
“We are holding live auditions this year because we want the public to have a chance to see the talented performers Fort Collins has to offer and to get a sneak peek at Streetmosphere 2012,” said Kari Munson, Beet Street’s project manager. “The most important aspect of these auditions will be how performers interact with the audience and what kind of reactions their performance will get from an audience.”
For more information, visit www.beetstreet.org, and check out Beet Street’s Facebook page for live updates during the auditions.
