Sarah Derosier of Wellington, a Senior Studio Arts Major at the University of Colorado Boulder, has made the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s List for Spring Semester 2013. The Dean’s List requires that a student hold a 3.75 or better GPA and be enrolled in at least 12 graded credit hours of coursework for the given semester. This achievement ranks Sarah among the top students at CU.
Kiah Swanson of Fort Collins has been named to Drake University’s President’s List for the Spring 2013 semester. Students must achieve a grade-point average of 4.0 to receive this honor. Drake is a private, independent university in Des Moines, Iowa, with an enrollment of approximately 3,400 full-time undergraduate students and 1,900 graduate students from 49 states and 50 countries.
Hannah Mae Peterson of Wellington was among 313 students from Colorado listed on the University of Wyoming 2013 spring semester academic Dean’s and Dean’s Freshman Honor Roll. The honor roll consists of regularly enrolled undergraduates above freshman standing who earned a 3.4 or better grade point average, and freshmen who have earned a 3.25 or better grade point average.
Fort Collins resident Morgan McCarthy, age 18, won awards in every event she entered at the 2013 Festival of the Future, part of the U.S. National Baton Twirling Championships, held July 13-18, in Daytona Beach, Fla. Nearly 900 athletes from 26 states competed in the championships. McCarthy took top honors in 18+ Beginning 2-Baton, placed third in Beginning 3-Baton, earned fourth place in Intermediate Solo and took fifth place in Intermediate Presentation.
