Pathways Hospice offers workshops on grief

Pathways Hospice in Fort Collins is offering several workshops and group sessions for families facing the loss of a loved one.

Pathways Hospice on Our Own is a free group meeting held every second Wednesday of the month to offer practical guidance and hope. Facilitated by Lani Hickman and co-sponsored by Lutheran Family Services, the next meeting is Feb. 8, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the hospice, 305 Carpenter Road; no registration required.

Bereaved Parents Support Group is a six-week group for parents who have experienced the death of a child. It meets on Thursday evenings, 6:30 to 8 p.m., through March 8. Cost is $60, no charge to Pathways Hospice families.

Sacred Spaces is a six-week workshop teaching collage and assemblage techniques for making memorials incorporating your own objects, mementos and photos. It meets Thursday evenings, 6 to 8 p.m., Feb. 16 to March 22. Registration is required and space is limited. Cost is $75 plus a $15 materials fee.

The Mourning After Afternoon Group is designed to develop new understanding and skills to cope with the difficulties we face on our grief journey and to learn how grief impacts our lives and our families. It meets Wednesday afternoons, 3 to 4:30 p.m., March 14 through April 18. Cost is $60, no charge for Pathways Hospice families.
