This year Fort Collins Reads has selected Edwidge Danticat’s book, Brother I’m Dying as the book they encourage the community to read. Local author, Laura Pritchett’s book Red Lightning is the companion book. Both works address issues of immigration. Dandicat will be in Fort Collins to speak 2 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Marriott, 350 E. Horsetooth Rd. in Fort Collins. Tickets are $10 and are on sale at local bookstopres and libraries. Tickets to attend an evening reception on Nov. 5 can be purchased at Old Firehouse Books in Fort Collins. Free events include a panel discussion on Nov. 1 as part of CSU’s Osher Continuing Education Program.

CSU’s Ralph Opera Program presents Die Fledermaus Nov. 3 through 6 at Univeristy Center for the Arts, 1400 Remington St., Fort Collins.
