In honor of Mother’s Day, the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program is holding a baby shower on May 12 for all of the raptor babies that will be hatching this spring.
It’s a fun time of year, but a busy time, too – because many of the spring babies run into trouble – nest trees are chopped down, adventurous babies fall from nests and are injured, or spring storms force Mom and Dad to abandon the babies.
Fortunately, RMRP is here to take care of the youngsters and get them back into the wild – but we need your help! Your baby shower gifts can help us give them the care they need.
Come visit us for our Mother’s Day Open House – bring the family, meet the educational birds, explore our facility and learn what it takes to care for these awesome patients, or wander through our gift shop. If you want to help, check out our wish list on our website and bring a present for the raptors, or consider a monetary donation so we can continue to provide care for our many patients.
Open House Details: Sunday, May 12, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the RMRP, 720 E. Vine Drive (one mile north of Mulberry, halfway between College and LeMay Avenues). For more information, call 970-484-7756.
