On Sept. 11 at approximately 7:38 a.m., the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of Big Ridge Way in unincorporated Larimer County. The vehicle was running and appeared to be stuck.
Deputies responded and recognized the vehicle as one belonging to a distraught subject who had previously threatened to harm himself. The vehicle had dark tinted windows and deputies were not able to see inside from a safe distance.
For the safety of all persons involved, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team responded to the scene. SWAT operators were able to make contact with the subject and convince him to exit his vehicle. He was taken into custody without incident.
