Hailing from Golden, CO., Thunder and Rain have recently released a beautiful EP entitled Our Mothers Love. “Mountain Made Colorado Country” is how they describe themselves on their website, which is a very fitting description. Although there are only three songs on this EP, they have definitely established themselves as a force in the folk/bluegrass world. RP Oates and Erinn Lukes are an amazing vocal duo; on each track they come together and create a soothing and beautiful sound. The soft folk sound of the album could be prepared to The Head and the Heart or The Lumineers with a little more twang. The EP is like falling in love in the middle of winter.
