The Poudre School District Board of Education will discuss the compensation package for the new superintendent at its Oct. 23 meeting, according to the search timeline approved by the board at its Oct. 9 meeting.
The timeline calls for community forums to be held between Oct. 29 and Nov. 2. Input gathered from employees, administrators, high school students and members of the community will be used to write a job description. Once the board approves the description at its Nov. 13, the job will be posted for a national search, with an application deadline of Jan. 16.
The board hopes to have finalists identified by Jan. 30, so interviews can be conducted at the end of February and a new superintendent selected by March 12.
Nancy Wright is serving as the interim superintendent following the resignation in May of Jerry Wilson, who took a position with Worcester County Public Schools in Maryland.
The Board of Education meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Johannsen Support Services Center, 2407 Laporte Ave., Fort Collins. For more information, go to www.psdschools.org.
