CLPE Principal Roxann Hall announces retirement

In a letter to Cache La Poudre Elementary School staff, parents and members of the community, principal Roxann Hall, who has guided the school through fire, flood, consolidation and boundary changes during her five-year tenure announced her retirement at the end of the school year.

She is leaving because of non-life-threatening health issues and the desire to to spend some “much needed time with her children, grandchildren and Terry, my dear husband.”

Hall wrote that she appreciates the personal and professional growth her job has afforded her, yet she knows that the time has come to leave. “When I do something, I give it everything I’ve got. If I don’t feel I can proceed at full speed, I will not attempt it… I’ve paddled as fast, as hard and as long as I can,” she said in the letter announcing her retirement.

She also expressed her gratitude for the students, staff, parents and community who have persevered with her during her time as principal. “I leave you in most excellent hands with a staff I would put up against any other elementary staff in the state of Colorado.”
