On May 29 and 30, 36 troopers from the Colorado State Patrol’s Criminal Investigations Branch joined fellow CSP troopers and other law-enforcement agencies for a traffic-safety operation in Larimer and Weld counties. The two-day operation resulted in the arrest of 13 fugitives, a drug seizure, and numerous citations for dangerous driving behaviors.
Troopers located and arrested seven fugitives for outstanding violations including DUI, suspended/revoked licenses, careless driving causing death and obstruction/attempting to influence a public official. An additional six fugitives were arrested as a result of proactive traffic contacts during the two-day span.
K9 troopers conducted multiple vehicle searches as a result of traffic contacts, resulting in the seizure of personal-use cocaine, which carries felony charges. Law-enforcement officers also recovered two stolen license plates.
