Did you know there are six parks currently in Wellington, with at least two more in the works?
The Wellington Parks Advisory Board is committed to working on all the parks in town and is looking into signage for our existing and soon-to-be parks. And a couple parks are getting new names!
The board wants to involve the community members in the naming process. While it could take some time before all the parks have equipment or even grass, the parks board wants to keep an eye on the future. Wellington’s growing and we want to be known for having an amazing parks and trail system. These things take time but the Wellington Parks Advisory Board wants to keep making progress toward this goal.
There’s a future 17-acre park to be located at Horsechestnut Street and Ronald Reagan. What do you think its name should be? Theme? Types of equipment? Send your name and ideas to [email protected] or mail them to town hall at P.O. Box 127, Wellington, CO 80549.
