Wellington trustees to hold Aug. 2 open house for tax allocation discussion

The Wellington Board of Trustees will hold an informational open house Tuesday, August 2, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to discuss proposed changes to the use of the town’s existing sales and use taxes. The trustees are asking for input on allowing a portion of collected taxes to be allocated to the park fund rather than the street fund.

Pros and cons of the proposal and the results of the recent resident survey on the subject will be discussed.
