OpenStage Theatre Company will present its annual casino night fundraiser on May 7, 7 pm, in the Canyon West Ballroom of the Lincoln Center, Fort Collins. This year’s theme will be The Great Gatsby and will feature a grand raffle prize of a trip for two to New York City, including hotel stay for two nights, airfare, and two tickets to a Broadway show of the winner’s choice. The event will also feature a silent auction, including a New Belgium Brewing Company cruiser bike, along with numerous items available for bidding. The live music entertainment will be The Andrew Vogt String Quartet doing jazz numbers, along with Kalli VanderTop on vocals, followed by the Jumpin’ Jive Cats performing dance routines and offering era-appropriate dance instruction. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best 1920’s attire. This event directly supports the theatre programming and production of OpenStage Theatre Company, a local non-profit organization founded in 1972 by Bruce and Denise Freestone. Annually, the group works with more than 150 artists, offers diverse theatre events, and also hosts Pay What You Can theatre nights, making theatre more affordable and accessible to the general community. Tickets: $50, which includes $200 worth of casino chips to play with and $20 worth of raffle tickets. Available at lctix.com/the-great-gatsby or 970.221.6730. openstage.com.
