Voltage is a new Midtown Fort Collins salon, owned by business partners, Ray Hornback and Mark Tanwin. The two have created a modern, inviting environment that is a KEVIN.MURPHY exclusive salon with a focus on providing high end ambiance with comfortable seating, natural light, and a place where new and very seasoned stylists can work together in a team environment that is client-focused and supportive. Hornback began his career as a stylist five years ago and specializes in contemporary hair trends, as well as bridal and special occasion hair. He was named Colorado Hairstylist of the Year: 2014 by 303 Magazine and was a top five finalist in the North American Hairstyling Awards in 2012. He worked for noted salon, Studio Be, previously. Tanwin is 25 year stylist, born and raised in South Africa, and who was trained in Johannesburg. He advanced his education at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in L.A. and then relocated to Las Vegas to open his own salon, Kaya Beauty. He was part of the backstage hair team for the Billboard Music Awards for four years and also worked alongside world-renown stylist at founder of Sexy Hair, Michael O’Rourke, as a member of the Sexy Hair Concepts National Cutting Team.
