The Larimer Small Business Development Center, First National Bank and Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce are partnering to make sure small businesses have access to top-notch business training right here in Wellington.

• June 17: So You Want to Start a Business? 1-3 p.m. Cost: $20. Explore the business ownership basics, including entrepreneurship, planning a profitable business, avoiding pitfalls and reaching customers.

• July 15 & 22: Building a Business Plan (2-session course). 9 a.m.-noon. Cost: $90. A 6-hour course divided into two classes. This course helps the entrepreneur understand the process of building and effective Business Plan. Each session will consist of class instruction, practical exercises and a guest speaker with expertise in research, marketing and finance.

All classes will be held held at First National Bank, 4100 Harrison Ave. in Wellington.

The Larimer SBDC is a partnership between the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, Small Business Administration and Front Range Community College.

The SBDC offers a wider array of classes at its main Fort Collins office as well as free, confidential one-on-one consulting.
