“National Security and America’s Energy Future” will be the theme of the Colorado State University Spring Energy Forum, to be presented on Feb. 27 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Plant Sciences Building on the CSU campus in Fort Collins.
Vice Admiral Dennis McGinn (Ret.), former commander of the U.S. Navy’s Third Fleet and president of the American Council on Renewable Energy, and Rear Admiral Neil Morisetti, the UK’s Climate and Energy Security Envoy and former NATO High Readiness Force Commander, will discuss the economic and national security threats posed by our nation’s over-reliance on fossil fuels.
The event is co-hosted by U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner and former Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter, director of the Center for the New Energy Economy at CSU. Rep. Gardner will not appear at the event but will be represented by Fourth District Director Mike Bennett.
The event is free and open to public. No registration is required, but seating is limited.
