The Stratton Fire burned approximately 1 mile south of the Poudre River east of the Young Gulch Trail on the Canyon Lakes Ranger District.
The fire is estimated at 1.8 acres and burned dead and down fuel.
Approximately 35 firefighters from the U.S. Forest Service and Larimer County Emergency Services responded. A helicopter made water drops and a single engine air tanker dropped one load of retardant. No structures were threatened. The cause is under investigation.
