Coming soon to Fort Collins is a grassroots, community-supported, volunteer-run cafe. Headed by Jeff and Kathleen Baumgardner, the FoCo Cafe non-profit will base its success on the number of meals it serves. Using locally sourced food and talent, the goal of the cafe is to provide a nutritious and delicious meal in a quality cafe setting, regardless of people’s ability to pay. All they ask for is your time and talent to help bring cohesiveness and dignity to our community. Incorporated one year ago, the cafe is very close to securing its location in Old Town. If you are interested in making this community happier, healthier, and would like to learn more about “food justice” they would like to talk with you! Please email them at [email protected]. They are also on YouTube: FoCoCommunityCafe. “Food is the common denominator that brings people together and builds community,” said Jeff Baumgardner.
