Click to DonateFredrick D. Ziegler is scheduled to appear with his attorney in Larimer County District Court in Fort Collins at 8:30 a.m. on May 17 in relation to his arrest on five counts of felony theft.
The charges are based on Ziegler’s activities between March 2004 and August 2006 as a principal in ZWZ LLC, developer of the Wellington South-The Knolls subdivision. The arrest warrant issued April 30 alleges that during that time period, Ziegler and ZWZ co-mingled personal and business funds with money belonging to the Wellington South homeowners association. The 11-page document further alleges that Zeigler and ZWZ used HOA funds to pay for improvements on property owned by the developers and that Ziegler withdrew in excess of $54,600 from the HOA account that was never replaced.
The warrant contains two Class 3 felony counts of theft in an amount of $15,000 or more and three Class 4 counts of theft of between $500 and $15,000.
Ziegler, 67, posted a $10,000 personal recognizance bond on April 30.
