June 10 10 a.m. update from Larimer County sheriff: High Park Fire is currently at 8,000 acres with 0% containment. We do know that the fire did grow significantly overnight but we’re waiting for air flights this morning to get an updated number.
Over 800 emergency notifications have been sent so far today bringing the total number to about 1600. These are notifications NOT homes.
Citizen briefings have been scheduled for 9:45 a.m. at Cache La Poudre Middle School in Laporte, and at 10:45 a.m. at the McKee building at the Ranch. Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith and Poudre Fire Authority Chief Tom DeMint will be speaking.
The fire was first reported at 5:54 a.m. yesterday and is burning on both private and public land.
Current evacuations include:
CR27E to Bellvue.
Areas south and west of Bellvue to include the Lory State Park area, the Redstone Canyon area and Buckhorn Road up to the Stove Prairie School.
Poudre Canyon from MM111 to MM118 on Highway 14. This means Poudre Canyon from Stove Prairie to MM118 is under mandatory evacuations.
The area between CR27E and Stove Prairie Road and south through the entire Rist Canyon area including Davis Ranch Road, Whale Rock Road. South on CR44H 3 miles to just north of Stringtown Gulch Road
Paradise Park Road, Moose Horn Lane, Magic Lane and Spencer Mountain Road.
Old Flowers Road from Stove Prairie Road to the 8000-block of Old Flowers Road.
Stove Prairie Road north along County Road 27 to Highway 14, east along Highway 14 to approximately mile marker 111, southeast to Rist Canyon Fire Station 1, then back west to to include Wilderness Ridge Way, Rist Creek Road, Spring Valley Road and County Road 41 and all of the roads that run off of it.
Cache La Poudre Middle School in Laporte and the McKee building at the Ranch are the evacuation centers. Large animals may be taken to the Ranch at I-25 & Crossroads Blvd. Small animals may be taken to Larimer Humane Society.
Structures damaged:
18 structures (a mix of homes and outbuildings) have been confirmed damaged.
Injuries:
One firefighter was taken non-emergent by ambulance out of the area for heat exhaustion yesterday.

CR27 (Stove Prairie Road) south from Highway 14
CR27 north of CR44H
CR44H (Buckhorn Road) west of CR27
CR52E (Rist Canyon Road) west of CR27E

250 ground and engine crews are fighting the fire. There are 15 engines and 3 water tenders on scene.

June 10 @ 5:26 a.m. update from Larimer County Sheriff: 474 evacuation notices for the High Park Fire have been sent to residents in areas south and west of Bellvue to include the Lory State Park area, the Redstone Canyon area and Buckhorn Road up to the Stove Prairie School.
Residents in this evacuation area need to evacuate to the McKee building on The Ranch property at I25 and Crossroads Blvd. Use the south entrance and park in the first gravel lot. Officals with the Red Cross will be there.

10 p.m. update from www.inciweb.org: The High Park Fire approximately 15 miles west of Fort Collins. The fire has crossed County Road 27 south of the Stove Prairie School. High winds are fueling this fire and causing evacuations.
Evacuations have been ordered for Stove Prairie Road north along County Road 27 to Highway 14, east along Highway 14 to approximately mile marker 111, southeast to Rist Canyon Fire Station 1, then back west to to include Wilderness Ridge Way, Rist Creek Road, Spring Valley Road and County Road 41 and all of the roads that run off of it. Additionally, all of Rist Canyon (west of 27E) and all roads off of it, including Whale Rock Road and Davis Ranch Road. South 3 additional miles on County Road 44H to just north of Stringtown Gulch Road. A pre-evacuation alert was issued for the Buckhorn Road between mile markers 25 and 27. (Over 800 notifications — contacts, not residents — sent.)
Ten structures are confirmed lost or damaged and others are threatened. No details about the structures are available. Firefighters will continue to evaluate the area as it is safe to do so.
The public is asked to avoid the area surrounding closed roads and evacuation areas to allow access for fire personnel.

New evacuations have been ordered for Stove Prairie Road north along County Road 27 to Highway 14, east along Highway 14 to approximately mile marker 111, southeast to Rist Canyon Fire Station 1, then back west to to include Wilderness Ridge Way, Rist Creek Road, Spring Valley Road and County Road 41 and all of the roads that run off of it.

Multiple crews on scene and continuing to respond. Air resources on scene and ordered include: 5 Single Engine Air Tankers (SEAT); 2 Type 1 Helitankers; 2 Type 3 Helicopters; 2-4 Heavy Air Tankers; Air Attack; and Lead Plane.
The evacuation center is located at the Cache la Poudre Middle School at 3315 W County Road 54G in Laporte. Small animals can go to the Larimer County Humane Society and large animals can go to The Ranch.

2:45 p.m.: Last reported size of High Park Fire was 200 acres but it is growing rapidly due to high winds in the area.
In addition to earlier evacuations the following area is now being evacuated: Paradise Park Road and Stove Prairie road, north to Rist Canyon Road, east to Spring Valley Road and south to include the Tip Top Road area. 73 notifications were sent for this evacuation.
In addition to earlier evacuations, evacuations for Old Flowers Road from Stove Prairie Road to the 8000-block of Old Flowers Road have been ordered. This includes about 10 homes. In addition to emergency notifications, deputies are going door to door in the area. Previous evacuation area included Paradise Park Road, Moose Horn Lane, Magic Lane and Spencer Mountain Road about 36 homes.
Evacuation center is Cache La Poudre Middle School at 3515 West County Road 54G in LaPorte.
Roads in the area are closed including Stove Prairie Road and Rist Canyon Road at Bellvue. The public is advised to stay out of the area.
Single engine air tanker, Type 1 light helicopter, Type 3 helicopter and Air Attack Command plane on scene or ordered.
There are structures in the area but have no confirmed reports of damage at this time.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
Cause is unknown at this time. Appears to be on both private and Forest Service land.
