Can’t get to New West Fest this year? You can still hear some of the 90 Colorado bands playing as KRFC, 88.9 FM, is broadcasting live from the Bohemian Nights Mountain Avenue Stage on Saturday and Sunday.
The live feeds begin on the air and online at krfcfm.org at 11 a.m. both days and continue until the headliners take the stage.
On Saturday, the lineup includes Shatterproof, Party Boys of the Century, Bad Brad and the Fat Cats, The Congress, Place, Future Jazz Project, Katie Glassman Quintet, John Common and Blinding Flashes of Light, and Mama Lenny and The Remedy. Headliners Alison Krauss and Union Station finish up the evening at 8:30 p.m., but will not be broadcast.
On Sunday, the music starts with Sangre Nueva and continues with Numundo, Cassie Taylor and The Soul Cavalry and The Widow’s Bane. Denver’s own DeVotchKa plays at 4 p.m., followed by headliner Gipsy Kings, but neither will be broadcast.
New West Fest is the annual celebration of the founding of Fort Collins. Bohemian Nights, sponsored by the Fort Collins-based Bohemian Foundation, showcases local and Colorado musicians on six stages throughout Old Town from Library Park to Old Town Square.
Admission and parking are free. Mason Street is open at Mountain Avenue to allow access to the parking structure on Laporte Avenue.
More information and a complete schedule of performances can be found at www.bohemiannights.org.
