UPDATED: As of 11 a.m. over 200 people had voted. Cynthia Sullivan said that the previous high turnout for an election was over 500.
UPDATED: The municipal election for the town of Wellington will be held Tuesday, April 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Leeper Center, 3800 Wilson Avenue in Wellington.
Town officers to be elected are four trustees and one mayor.
The candidates for trustee are:

The candidates for mayor are:

The town’s only ballot question asks voters to approve a debt increase without raising taxes to fund completion of the Wellington Community Park for $2.4 million plus $600,000 in interest.
Colorado law allows voters to register to vote through election day, but at this late date you’ll need to drive into Fort Collins. You can register by appearing in-person at the elections division of the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder, 200 W. Oak Street in Fort Collins.
