Mackenzie's Mission plans fundraiser

An afternoon of miniature golf and costume contests on Aug. 29 in Old Town Fort Collins will benefit Mackenzie’s Mission, a nonprofit that aims to prevent childhood drowning through education and awareness. The first annual “Keni’s Par 1 Bar Crawl Fundraiser” will partner with nine local bar sponsors. An awards ceremony will follow the event at Illegal Pete’s.

Participants must be 21 or older. Registration for teams of four and opportunities to volunteer can be found online at www.macksmission.org/fundraisers.htm. The cost to participate is $150 per team.

Mackenzie’s Mission reaches out to schools, lifeguards, pools and businesses to promote water safety. Funds raised will go to a life jacket loaner program at local lake and river locations.
