Do you want to take mom somewhere unique this year for Mother’s Day? A place that will spark the imagination, fill her with love, compassion and splendor? Then the Mother’s Day Open House at the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program is the perfect place. Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, located at 720 E. Vine Drive in Fort Collins, invites you to come celebrate mothers of all species on Sun, May 10 from 11am-3pm. There will be live birds on display and a gift shop, as well as a variety of educational displays. Some displays will focus on the causes and types of injuries suffered by birds of prey and what the program does to facilitate in the rehabilitation of injured birds, while others will discuss the foster program designed for birds like the great horned owl and the foster moms who care for them. This event is free to the public, but donations are welcome and are a big part of what keeps the program running. For more info, or to donate to the program, please visit rmrp.org or call 970.484.7756.
