Nearly two years after the release of Digging Secrets, Fort Collins’ own Post Paradise is back in the driver’s seat. Side A of the two-part EP showcases the distinct vocals of Nick Starr Duarte, and, of course, the staple of Post Paradise in the cello of Amy Morgan, backed by Mark Roshon on drums and Chris Santolla on bass. Bring It to Life holds the familiar obscurity and raw emotion that Post Paradise has brought to the music scene since 2008, drawing in reminisces of early alternative and the subtle influence of classical. The first half of the EP itself is accompanied by a feeling of completeness, passing from the hard-hitting “Generator” to the nostalgic desperation of “Four Years” before ending in the mysterious instrumental “Flux Errant.” With a new release nearly under their belt, Post Paradise is sure to carry on the high energy of their incredible live show. Check them out at the EP release show on October 9 at the Downtown Artery, along with special guests Red Fox Run.
