Prescription drug drop-off in Wellington on Sept. 26

On Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles/sharps, but can accept pills and patches. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Bring your pills for disposal to Bella’s Market in Wellington, 7670 5th Street, south parking lot.

For additional local prescription drug take-back sites, visit the DEA Office of Diversion Control website at http://1.usa.gov/P9EzM2.
