Renovations begin at Poudre School District schools

Thanks to voter approval last year of a $120 million bond issue, renovation projects for Poudre School District are currently underway. More than 80 projects totaling $14 million have been initiated this year, and additional projects will be phased in over the next seven years.

“The intent of project scheduling over the next seven years is to impact the classroom routine as little as possible, while improving the learning environment,” said Mike Spearnak, PSD director of planning, design and construction services.

While some of the projects can be completed during school breaks, much of the work will need to be completed during the school year. A PSD staff project manager has been assigned to each school to work closely with the school community to ensure safety and efficiency during construction work.
