Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual meeting and potluck Saturday, Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Stove Prairie School. After dinner there will be a business meeting, with discussion of Mountain Festival and Art Auction results and the status of the department.
Two special guests will also attend the potluck. Larimer County Commissioner Lew Gaiter III will be on hand to make a presentation to Stove Prairie School and Kristen Browning-Blas, food editor for The Denver Post, promised to bring a pie, in honor of the $1,000 rhubarb pie auctioned off at the Richard Schmid auction over Labor Day weekend.
Everyone is welcome to attend and bring a dish to share — main dish, salad, bread or dessert. The Board of Directors will provide the drinks and tableware.
